A lot to be thankful for!!!

I can't believe how fast time is going. Thanksgiving was great. My parents came over and cooked everything you could possibly want for Thanksgiving. It was a small gathering, but lots of food was still eaten. Lily had her two month appointment on 11/14 (she is currently one day shy of 12 weeks old). She is a big girl..... 13lbs and 24 1/2 inches long at her appointment. So she is bigger than that now, but I don't have another appointment with the pediatrician for 2 months.

Josh had his birthday this month as well. He is now 27. He is already dreading 30 which I think is funny since it still seems off in the distance. My birthday is coming up next week and I will be a young 26. This past Saturday we went downtown to "Safehouse" which is a ministry to help the homeless in Atlanta. We served Chili, washed and massaged their feet, and just listened to their stories. It was a great experience to give back and remember to be cognizant of those less fortunate.

Lily will be getting her 3 month professional shots done on December 4th so I will make sure to post a link up here when they are available to look at. Lily is doing great. She is a lot more awake these days cooing, smiling, and learning about the world around her. She is sleeping AWESOME I must say. She goes between 7 1/2 - 9 hours straight now and then takes another nap in the morning after she eats. She is a great sleeper. She has been reaching for her toys a lot now and gets really excited when she actually touches them.

Hope you have enjoyed the update. We love the holidays and hope that you have a wonderful holiday season as well.

The cold weather is officially here and boy does it beat being hot. I hope that we can get some snow this winter. It seems like it has been forever since metro Atlanta has had a lot of snow. There are a lot of kids in my neighborhood that I would love to have a snowball fight with. My neighbor's yappy dog might accidentally get snowball to the head if we get a big snowfall. We had our first halloween at our house. I wish I had kept count, but to give my best guess estimate I would say between 15 and 25 kids came by for some candy. Lily wasn't dressed up in a costume, but you can be sure that Carrie Anne put her in some orange garb.

As mentioned in a previous post, we went up to Elon for Homecoming. Lily did great for the 6 hour car ride...much better than we had anticipated. It was great seeing old friends. At the tailgating before the game, I got to see about 30 or so former teammates. Elon beat Chattanooga and took the lead of the Southern Conference. Lily of course slept through the entire game...including the cannons that went off after each of the touchdowns. On the way home we visited Becca and Brandon and their baby Isaac, who was born 2 and half weeks after Lily. You can see in a pic below that Isaac was already trying to put the moves on Lily. I had to step in before things got out of hand...if you know what I mean.
We are looking forward to our first Thanksgiving and Lily turning three months. It seems like everyday there is something new to look forward to with Lily. We hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Check out our pics below before you go...

Notice in this picture that Lily's arms are stiff and out to the side. She slept like this for more than a few minutes until I finally pushed them down.
Lily is also being trained as a boxer.
Here is Lily's boyfriend Isaac.
She is bored of him already!
